Motorcycle racing in India — circuits, championships, how to race.
Motorcycle racing in India runs primarily at four circuits — MIC, MMRT, Kari and BIC — across the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) and various one-make cups run by manufacturers. RRS supports motorcycle racing as one of our 13 formats.
What this looks like in practice
Championship classes split by engine displacement and modification level (stock, modified, open). Scrutineering, paddock, parc fermé, transponder timing, championship points across rounds. One-make cups follow the same operational rhythm with class rules set by the manufacturer.
Where it actually happens
- Madras International Circuit (MIC)Chennai, Tamil Nadu
FIA Grade 2 circuit. The most active motorcycle racing venue in India.
- MMRTChennai, Tamil Nadu
India's original purpose-built circuit. Still used for motorcycle championship rounds.
- Kari Motor SpeedwayCoimbatore, Tamil Nadu
National circuit. Active motorcycle racing programme.
- Buddh International Circuit (BIC)Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Former F1 circuit. Hosts motorcycle rounds when available.
How to take part
For FMSCI championship rounds — apply through FMSCI for the right licence grade, then enter through the championship's entry channel. For events RRS runs, entries flow through the Rehz Motorsports app. For one-make cups, the manufacturer or cup operator runs the entry process.
Who runs it (and where RRS fits)
INMRC is sanctioned by FMSCI. One-make cups are run by manufacturers (TVS, Honda, Royal Enfield, etc.) — though we don't speak for any specific brand here. RRS supplies race-ops platform, crew and reporting when retained by an organiser.
Common questions
Where does motorcycle racing happen in India?+
Primarily at Madras International Circuit (Chennai), MMRT (Chennai), Kari Motor Speedway (Coimbatore) and Buddh International Circuit (Greater Noida). The Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) and one-make championships run at these circuits.
Do I need an FMSCI licence to race motorcycles?+

I want to run a motorcycle racing event or one-make cup — can RRS help?+
Yes. RRS supports motorcycle racing as one of our 13 formats — registrations, FMSCI licence verification, scrutineering, paddock, parc fermé, timing, championship points and reporting. Same engine for a one-make cup or an FMSCI-sanctioned national round.
