Autocross in India — the most accessible motorsport format.
Autocross is the easiest way into motorsport in India — a timed solo run through a cone course, multi-class brackets, best-of-N scoring. Because the format doesn't need a circuit, it runs in many more places than drag or circuit racing.
What this looks like in practice
Events run across the country — FMSCI championship rounds, club autocross days, college fest events and OEM activations. Run-orders, cone-down penalties, multi-class brackets and live results to the spectator app — RRS handles all of it on the same engine.
Where it actually happens
- Meco KartopiaBengaluru, Karnataka
Karting circuit also used for club autocross days.
- Kari Motor SpeedwayCoimbatore, Tamil Nadu
National circuit with autocross-ready paddock.
- Madras International CircuitChennai, Tamil Nadu
Autocross runs in the support paddock alongside circuit racing.
How to take part
For events RRS runs, enter through the Rehz Motorsports app — class auto-assignment, FMSCI licence (where required), indemnity and payment. For non-RRS events, check the FMSCI calendar and the organising club's channels.
Who runs it (and where RRS fits)
Autocross events are organised by FMSCI-affiliated clubs, college fest committees and OEM brand teams. RRS supplies race-ops platform, run-order, timing integration, brackets and championship points when retained.
Common questions
What is autocross?+
A timed solo run through a course laid out with cones — usually on a parking lot, kart track or unused tarmac. Multi-class brackets, best-of-N runs, cone-down penalties. It's the most accessible motorsport format because almost any flat surface works.
Where does autocross happen in India?+
All over the country, because the format doesn't need a circuit. Common venues include Meco Kartopia (Bengaluru), parts of Madras International Circuit's support area (Chennai), private and college fest venues, and one-off OEM activations.
Do I need an FMSCI licence for autocross?+
For FMSCI-sanctioned championship autocross — yes. For club rounds, college fests and OEM activations run as open events, a one-event licence is usually enough. RRS captures both modes.
I want to run an autocross — can RRS help?+
Yes. We supply software, run-order generation, cone-down handling, multi-class timing and live results to the spectator app. Same engine for a 50-car college fest or an FMSCI round.
