Common questions
Do I need FMSCI sanctioning to run an autocross event?+
Not for club rounds, college fests or OEM activations — those run as open events. FMSCI sanctioning is only required if the event needs to count toward an FMSCI championship or feed national rankings. RRS supports both modes on the same platform.
How does RRS handle cone-down penalties and DNFs?+
Cone-down counts and DNF flags are captured per run (typically by the marshal team on tablet), automatically applied to the timing record, and reflected in best-of-N scoring across each driver's run set. Re-runs and protests are handled with full audit trail.
What timing systems does RRS support for autocross?+
RRS has its own proprietary autocross timing system available on a per-event rental basis. It also integrates with industry-standard beam-break and transponder systems used at Indian motorsport venues — multi-class brackets timing on the same course, live results to spectator app.
