Drag racing in Bangalore — what's actually true.
There is no drag strip inside Bengaluru. The closest one — and the one every Bangalore-area racer ends up at — is the Taneja Aerospace airstrip in Hosur, about an hour east. RRS is headquartered in Bengaluru and runs the two biggest drag events in this region from here.
What this looks like in practice
The FMSCI Indian National Drag Racing Championship 4W (INDRC) ran 5 rounds in 2025, all at Hosur. The open Vroom Drag Meet completed its 13th edition in December 2025 at the same venue, with categories for 2W, 4W, EV and Women in Motorsports. Both are operated end-to-end out of our Bengaluru office.

How to take part
Enter through the Rehz Motorsports app on iOS or Android. Look for INDRC rounds and the next Vroom Drag Meet edition. The flow handles class, FMSCI licence (or one-event licence), scrutineering slot, indemnity and payment. If you want to spectate, tickets for the same events are sold through the same app and on the event pages.
Who runs it (and where RRS fits)
INDRC is co-organised by Vroom Motorsports (Bengaluru) and Speedway Motorsports (Hyderabad). Vroom Drag Meet is organised by Vroom Motorsports. RRS — based in Bengaluru — handles registrations, FMSCI licence verification, scrutineering, paddock, parc fermé, results, championship points and audience ticketing. Raw timing data comes from the official timing team contracted by the organisers and validated by FMSCI; RRS ingests and publishes.

Is there a drag strip inside Bangalore?+
No. There is no quarter-mile drag strip inside Bengaluru city. The closest — and the one used by every major drag event associated with Bangalore — is at Taneja Aerospace, Hosur, about an hour east on the Bangalore–Hosur road. Bengaluru is the operations base; Hosur is the strip.
How do I enter a drag event near Bangalore?+
Enter through the Rehz Motorsports app on iOS or Android. The two events to look for are the FMSCI INDRC and the Vroom Drag Meet — both held at Hosur and both operated by RRS, which is based in Bengaluru. The app handles class, licence, scrutineering booking, indemnity and payment.
Are there any street or unsanctioned drag races in Bangalore?+
We don't run them and don't recommend them. Street drag racing is illegal and dangerous. Every event RRS operates runs at a closed venue with FMSCI-grade safety, scrutineering and parc fermé.
